Alma 48:17

"Verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." - Alma 48:17

More Merica

Aloha!

Welp, it’s been a pretty crazy week here in Southern California!

Now that we are in a trio we have been a lot busier because we have to cover 2 areas but at the same time our numbers drop because we don't spend as much time in our neck of the woods. But it’s all good. I’m not too worried about it. But along with the trio thing, he moved into our apartment so I decided to hang my hammock up on out little balcony thing, so I sleep in that every night and I love it!

Yesterday we had a baptism! It was my first one and I was super pumped, everything went great and smooth.  She's awesome, super solid, loves the church and has a great testimony of it.

We visited with a recent convert and she loves stickers, she sells them on eBay and her whole garage is full of them! She has billions! So she gave me some Merica ones and so I decorated the back of my name tag (:

We did some more work for one of our other investigators this week. We fixed another part of her fence that was falling down again! Also I received an American flag and now it’s hanging in the apartment, probably the best lookin' thing in there besides myself.

Hope ya’ll have a great week.

Note: Zach had District Training at the Mission Home last week, so the first few pictures are from that training.
With his absolute passion for America, it's a good thing this boy is serving in a stateside mission!

My week in a pretty small nutshell.

Hey y’all,

So it’s been a pretty good week.  We didn't get to go hike Saddleback today sadly.  They moved it back a couple of weeks.  But I did some service this week, and I pruned a palm tree! It was pretty fun, but they have big ole thorns on them so that was a challenge.

This week we have a baptism set with our investigator, but we still had to get permission from her parents to baptize her, so we went over there on Wednesday afternoon and we talked to them and they said ‘Sure that's fine with me!’ And since our last experience with them, this was a miracle. So this Saturday we have a baptism! I’m pretty excited.

Also this week we had a chance to go over to our other investigator’s house and give her a blessing.  She is diabetic and was having a rough day and she needed some comfort. So my companion gave her a blessing and it was awesome.  The spirit was there for sure.

Today we had to take an elder to the airport and so his companion had to come with us.  Now we are in a trio! It’s going to be a good time. That's my week in a pretty small nutshell there. Have a fantastic week!

Let Freedom Ring

Welp, another week down.

It was hotter than the nonexistent eggs I cook every morning.  It got up to 106 last week and I thought the world was going to end! But hopefully this week it cools off some more.

Got a little something for me this week, I got an American flag guitar strap, it’s sweet, and my mom sent me my American flag capo for my guitar too.  I named her the “Freedom Ringer” and oh does she sound sweet! (:

But this week some of the other elders had a baptism so we took our investigator to it, she loved it and this week we’re going to challenge her to baptism! So hopefully that goes good. But we still have a baptism date for next Saturday.  It’s lookin’ pretty good.  We still just have to get her parents’ permission, so we are going over there tonight to talk to them again.  Hopefully it all goes well.

We did some more service this week, painted some more fences. Next week some of the elders are going to go on a hike up Saddleback, it’s a big mountain nearby.  It’s supposed to take like 10 hours but we are gonna try for 5 hours!

Have a great week all!

Note:  I keep asking for pictures of his area, people etc. and all I get are him, his hammock and the guitar :0(
But at least I get pictures :0)

Getting into the thing can be tricky.

Sad Blisters

Aloha!

Welp, this past week was transfers and nothing changed, except that my comp got made a district leader! But this week we did a lot of service, and I was in downtown blister city. I’ll send the picture. The next morning we went and played basketball and that didn't help with them in the least bit, haha.

Our investigator that had a baptism date this week had to get moved to the 24th because her parents want to see what the church is about and stuff. So maybe we could just baptize the whole family! Out other investigator came to Sunday morning conference at the stake center and it was when Elder Nelson talked about women, and he said just what she needed, so that was pretty sweet too.

Yesterday we got to go to the Musical Devotional by the Temple then after we got to go on a Temple tour, so that was sweet. Random fact that the Newport Beach Temple is pink! If you look close it has a pinkish tint to it, it’s way cool. This transfer we get to go to the Temple, so that’ll be awesome! Shout-out to the best mom out there, my mom, she sent me a guitar and it is awesome! I don't get to play it much but when I do it’s awesome! My favorite conference talk was Elder Oaks' about the Atonement.  He threw down and that was primetime, HQ for sure. Ya’ll should take a gander at it sometime. Have a great week!
