Alma 48:17

"Verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." - Alma 48:17

Swallows Day Parade and more...

Crazy busy week here!

We were all over the place. We got to go to the temple this week, which is always a bonus.  I got to do initiatory for the first time since I went through for the first time myself and dang, that's some pretty cool stuff.

We got to go have breakfast at President Clark’s house and hang out with them and have a little Zone conference type thing.  Just awesome to be with the Pres and his wife.

On Saturday we got to go march in the Swallows Day Parade at San Juan Capistrano! We were reenacting the Mormon Battalion. It was chill, a good day.  Then we helped somebody move after that! Crazy day.

Our investigators are doin good, all progressing quite nicely.  They said they actually like going to church now, so hey, that's pretty neat.

That's all for me this week. Love y'all. Have a good one!

Zachary had me send two of his own derby cars from his cub scout days

Stellar Week

Howdy.

Stellar week down here in San Clemente. We worked our butts off and we saw some miracles! We confirmed the baptismal date for the 8th of April with one of our investigators, clutch. We picked up 3 new ones as well, which is unheard of here in the zone. Elder Te'o is the best.  He loves to work hard.

Our other gator that we are teaching, his mom showed some interest this week and she opened up a lot, so who knows, we could get a family baptized!

We had Elder Tad Callister come visit the mission and he’s a chill guy, really nice. We did Zone exchanges and I went to another area for the day and it was a riot.  We had dinner with some crazy rednecks from Texas and it was the best dinner ever!

We did a service project down by the pier and we painted these swings and it was ballin! It was an Eagle project for a member in the ward. Also, I burned some pants for the 18th month mark, a little late but better late then never.

That’s about it for the week.  We played some Frisbee this morning and we are doing some mountain bikin later, so you could say it’s been a well spent pday (:

Love y’all have a great week!

Not sure what this is all about, but these are the swings they painted for a service project.

Chill...

New comp is a stud. He’s workin me hard. We taught a lot of lessons this week to members and less active ones. Taught our investigators and we might have a baptismal date for April! Yahoo!!!

We went down to the beach and played some basketball this morning and it was a riot. So chill, it was all foggy and what not. Elder Te'o plays the guitar really well so he carries that around with us and we sing songs with people when we are out contacting and when we teach people.

Did some service at a food bank place and we put together some stuff for homeless people. All in all it was a chill week, but we got a lot done.

Focusing this transfer on the Christlike attribute of charity, man I’ve learned so much this week about it. One of the main things with charity is being forgiving, and be quick to apologize. The scriptures have got some life changing stuff in them, crack em open once in a while they will teach you.

Love y’all have a good week!

Crazy Week...

Been one heck of a week here.

Started out awesome.  We were poundin on doors all day and walkin round.  Found a couple potentials and what not. My comp was in disbelief that I had never seen the Harry Potter movies or the Lord of the Rings movies, so he decided to tell me them…blow by blow. At first I was like, dang this is gonna be rough.  But I actually ended up liking it! It was super interesting.  He’s a great guy.

Anywho, we got to meet with both of our investigators this week!! They are doin so good.  No bap dates yet but they are on the horizon.

I got to go back to my greenie area for an evening the other day for a birthday and to watch the ward put on a road show type thing. It was a fun night to see all the homies.

On Saturday we got a call from President and he said “Hey you’re gettin a new companion!” So now I’m with Elder Te'o! Man he is an amazing missionary!

Sorry this week no pictures.  I forgot my card reader...but love y’all have a good week!

*There were some unexpected transfers in other areas of the mission. Because of that, Elder West was transferred and Zachary now has Elder Te'o from Missouri. He played football so the two have quite a bit to talk about. Zachary is so excited to work with him. Here's a pic from the mission Facebook page...
