Alma 48:17

"Verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." - Alma 48:17

Jammed with Blessings

This week was a blur!

Started out sweet, for FHE we went to the driving range and it brought back good ole memories of workin at Mulligans. I still got me swing in me too!

Johnny got baptized on Saturday, and it went great! He is an awesome guy and he loves the gospel. Then yesterday I had the chance to give him the Holy Ghost. It’s one of Heavenly Father’s greatest gifts he can give us in mortality, so it was cool to be able to be a tool of the Lord and bless someone with that gift.

Yesterday at church there was an investigator that came to our ward instead of the Spanish ward.  He likes ours better because we meet later and he says it’s more fun.  So that will be fun to start teaching him. We also got to go to the Temple this week. It’s a good place to go and get answers to questions.

Now that I think about it, this week was jammed with blessings. Count your many blessing people! Have a great week!

Howdy!

This week had been a wild one for sure.

With Johnny gettin baptized this coming Saturday we had to teach him all the lessons this week so we were busy teachin, which is good cause we were in a pretty heavy drought for a while there.

I got a new companion and he is awesome, we have good times. This upcoming week we get to go to the temple.  Man the temple is so awesome, House of the Lord for sure.

I know you all remember too that Tuesday was flag day.

We were out all day Saturday, all day contacting and it was awesome! We got into a couple Bible bashes but they just can’t compete.  It’s hard to prove something true that isn’t true.  For us it is easy cause we got the truth.  It also helps when you have the Spirit! We ended the day at this place called Back Bay, right as the sun was settin. Man it was top notch! It didn’t feel like the city at all, and I like that! Made me feel at peace and know that Heavenly Father created all the Earth for us to enjoy and bring us happiness!

That’s all for this week! Love y’all (:

Another miracle day...

Hello!

This week has been a little wonky here. Me and my comp got another missionary for a week and so we had lots to do. It was nice because he is in a family ward and so we had dinner every night! Yippee!! We were able to teach one of his investigators and set a baptismal date with him for the 25th.

We got transfer calls on Saturday and I’m staying in Newport and I’ll be gettin a new companion. Yesterday we met someone at church, he had come with his friend 3 times previous and he loved it so his friend said, ‘Hey meet my friend Johnny.’ So we taught him and we set a baptismal date with him for the 25th also! So 2 on the same day! Heck yes!!! Miracles all round once more.

I was chattin it up with our Zone Leader the other day and he said something interesting to me. "Success isn’t something you have see to feel". So true. When you work hard all day long and every single person you talk to says no and you come home at night and just crash, that is what success feels like, hard work, giving it everything you have. That’s how we become great!

Have a wonderful week y’all (:

A week of contacting...

Slow week here in Newport, every single day this week it has started out overcast and kinda depressing, but by later in the day it gets better.

But this week we did a lot of what we usually do, contacting. On Saturday we did an all day window. A Window is where you pray about where you need to go to contact people for 1 hour.  So Saturday we did one right after the other, it was crazy.  I don’t think I’ve talked to so many people in one day my whole life! We contacted into someone who had met with missionaries before and said we could come back, so that was a miracle!

We taught our investigator this week and it went pretty good although he didn’t make it to church this week...

But this week I did climb a palm tree, it was sure hard and comin’ down is a lot harder then going up is all I gotta say.

Hope y’all have a great week!
