Alma 48:17

"Verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." - Alma 48:17

Another great week.

This week has been a pretty awesome one. We had a lesson with our investigator this week and her daughter was in the lesson, and it was just a sweet lesson.  Then on Saturday we got to go to the temple and take them on a temple tour, and then went back to their house and had dinner and what not.  But the cool thing is, is that our investigator’s daughter came to church yesterday!!! So stoked about that!

We went over to our other investigator’s house and we taught them the Plan of Salvation.  It was a train wreck...there were 4 elders there and everyone had to put in there 2 cents and it was just bad news bears.  So they don't want to be baptized anymore, and they are going to stick to the church they have been going to, sad day.

This week we get to teach an awesome guy.  His wife is a returning less active and he was in the coast guard for 20 years.  So hopefully next month he will get baptized!

But other than that, that's pretty much it, pretty slow but decent week. Love y’all so much, have a great week!

Wammy Kablammy!

Yo!
Crazy week this week.

Started out on exchanges. Exchanges are the best because then you can see how other missionaries do it, and the way they work. We had a really powerful lesson at a member’s house after dinner where they invited over a part member family. I used a little nail object lesson my momma sent me and, Wammy Kablammy! It was like a spiritual nuke went off in that house. The Plan of Salvation is my favorite lesson and that's the reason why the spirit is always so strong. We walked outside after and I did a little heel click, while the cops were putting up caution tape up around the spiritual blast zone :0)

After that we had another great lesson last night and we now have 2 new gators with baptismal dates! I gave her a priesthood blessing after and that was like no other blessing I’ve given before.  It was awesome!

Cool story this week. I went down to San Clemente (Dana Point to be specific) and had dinner with Jim Everett (not a member).  He was a QB in the NFL back in the day, his son is on a mission right now in the Irvine Mission, and last transfer he got transferred to Dana Point where his dad lives.  So we went over there and had steak and steak and steak, it was beautiful (':  Hopefully he gets baptized one of these days.

This morning we got to go to the temple as a District, so that's always a good time. Hope y’all have a great week!

Hootin' & Hollerin'

Howdy.

This week has been a pretty solid one.  It rained for the first three days so I got soaked to the bone and then the other half of the week was good.

We did more service...we moved a family and they literally had a semi trailer parked out front and we filled that bad Jackson all the way up with their stuff. How they had that much stuff I had no idea.

I went on exchanges this week with Elder Natress.  He is still a greenie but we had a good time (hence, the cool pictures). Don't be alarmed, we did do missionary work.

Cool story.  Last week I was on exchanges and me and Elder Jones were walkin’ on by this river, (it’s like the Jordan River Parkway), and there was this little "Butterfly Garden". It was like a maze, then in the center there was a sand circle thing and I drew a heart in the sand and put a Book of Mormon in it. Then, yesterday Elder Jones’ bishop called and said that there was a Less Active in their ward and that their daughter (not a member) found a Book of Mormon on the sand with a heart around it...with my name in it...Dang I was so pumped! I was hootin’ and hollerin’ and jumpin’ for joy. Now they are takin’ the lessons! So cool.

Elder Basset of the 70 came for Stake Conference this weekend and he was awesome. He held a special session for recent converts and investigators.  We had all of ours there and they all loved it, so cool. That's about it for this week hope y’all have a good one!

Service Y'all

Happy New Year Y’all!

Well this week I’m going to be careful what I ask for because last week I said hopefully I can do more service, and this week that’s exactly what I got! We did service about every single day this week! We cleaned out an old man’s attic, ripped out cabinets, painted, moved a family, ripped out carpet, just to name a few things. It was awesome, but I was dead tired every night!

On the missionary work side of things they were great too.  We had a less active lady that started coming back to church a couple months ago and now her nonmember husband is coming too and we are going to teach him the first discussion on the 27th! Our eternigator (someone who has been investigating forever, in this case, 2 years too long) got a spiritual prompting this week.  She claims it was her first one she's had, so that was pretty neat.

But other than that it was a pretty quiet week because my companion has been sick with the flu I think, so I have to sick-sit him a lot, haha, more study time yay! Hope y’all have a wonderful week!
