Alma 48:17

"Verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men." - Alma 48:17

"That shirt and tie thing"

Awesome week here in Irvine!

Started out good.  We did some service and it’s always good to do so you don’t have to wear that shirt and tie thing. We got to teach our investigators this week too and they are all ready to go for Saturday.  So that’s exciting news!

For Thanksgiving I went to a family’s house that I went to last year. It was so good to see them and all that jazz.  He smoked a turkey and holy cow that was the best turkey I’ve ever had! So good.

On Saturday we had a member text us and they wanted to take us out to Ruby's for lunch. They are an awesome family.  One of them reminds me a lot of my sister, so that was weird. The family is awesome though, always a good time hanging out with them.

Yesterday I gave a talk in sacrament meetin.  First time I’ve done that on the mission and it was fun.  I like doin that kinda stuff. Oh, and I ran over a goose on my bike the other day.  It was one heck of a speed bump!

Anywho, that’s all for me this week.
Love ya have a good one!

Another good week in Cali!

Another good week down here in Cali!

We started the week by helping and older lady with her sprinklers. A pipe broke so we had to rip up all the bricks to fix it. We went on Zone 24s, so everyone is the zone goes on exchanges with random people and I got to go with the ZL.  He’s from Canada and it was just a good time.  We had lots of fun.

Our investigator moved to her new apartment and we helped with that. Her stuff had been in storage for 3 years and there was a fridge in there, and she left food in it.....3 years of mold and decay in that thing and guess who had to clean it out cause nobody else would? This guy. It was probably one of the most nasty things I’ve ever done.

But other good news is that the roommates that she moved in with were already getting taught by missionaries and they are going to get baptized on the same day! Yahooo, 3 baptisms comin up! The mom and daughter are her roommates and the mom is from Peru. Yes Mom, Peru. Relax.

Last night we were walkin around the lake and it was dark and when we were halfway around it started raining.  Nowhere to hide under.  We embraced it and got soaked! Haha! It was a miracle to have rain again.

But things are pickin up, so you know what that means...transfer calls are this Saturday. Hope you all have a great week!

Fasten Your Seat Belts!

This week was a crazy one.  Fasten your seat belts!!

We started out with service. We were tying quilts and then we got to ride in the Model A again!  Then we had Elder Hamula of the 70 come and we had Zone Conference. He is one wise dude, that’s all I gotta say!  He spoke to us for probably about 5 hours total and it was all good stuff.

Then we did more service and we redid somebody's flowerbed and sprinklers.  All those hours workin in the back yard with Dad, puttin in our sprinkler system, paid off. Then we got a text from a member that said she had somebody for us to teach.  The lady had been taught by missionaries before, and she has a baptismal date for the 3rd! Insane!

And then to finish it all off we had a baptism of somebody that I taught back in my first area (Alicia Park ward)! I started teachin him back last October. So happy to see him get baptized!

That’s all for me this week. Love ya!

In the back of the Model A...again!

Working on a service project.

A little go cart he found at a member's house.
It's just like one he played with as a little kid.
Oh the memories!

With two of his favorites in the Alicia Park Ward...Adina and Sister Dunham.
Adina was baptized last November.

At Ric's baptism.
Zachary had the chance to go back to the Alicia Park Ward
and participate in Ric's baptism.  It was a great experience for him!

Great Danes...haha!

This week was a pretty good one!

On Tuesday we went on splits with the Elders Quorum and we stopped by a potential and they let us in! Me and the member taught him about the Book of Mormon and a little bit of the Restoration.  It was awesome! Then they invited me and Elder Gee to come over and have lunch with them on Saturday!!! They are so awesome!  The mom grew up in Denmark and she knew missionaries there when she was about 10 and she loved it and that's why she said we could come back in the first place. So hopefully things get rollin with them.

I voted this week so that was nice.

Also, last pday we went and played some disc golf. This week we have Elder Hamula of the 70 coming to visit our mission.  That'll be interesting.

Love y’all have a great week!
